Rural Alabama Prevention Center - Promoting Healthy Communities - RAPC

TThe Rural Alabama Prevention Center, Inc. (RAPC) was organized in February 2014 as a community-based organization and is recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 Non-Profit Corporation.  

The mission of the organization is to improve the overall health of people living in rural West Alabama through the provision of preventive health services, education, and resources. RAPC operates a Saturday Health Clinic for teens, providing free health screenings and education that addresses chronic health issues often found in teenagers before adulthood, ages 13 – 19.  RAPC also serves as the lead agency for the Black Belt Tutorial Program by providing funding to organizations to implement an After School Tutorial Program in Greene, Hale, Sumter, and Marengo counties.
